  • 6-9 July 2025: Attended the 35th European Symposium on Computer Aided Process Engineering (ESCAPE 35) July 2025 Conference in Ghent, Belgium and gave a presentation on “Data-Driven Modelling of Biogas Production Using Multi-Task Gaussian Processes.”
  • 16-19 December 2024: Attended the AI for Net Zero Conference at University of Exeter and gave a presentation on “Data-Driven Modelling and Predictive Control of Biogas Production in an Anaerobic Digestion Process.”
  • 9-13 December 2024: Attended the 2024 Metabolic Modelling Workshop, Nottingham.
  • 2-6 September 2024: Attended the 2024 Summer School on Bayesian Optimization at Imperial College London and presented a poster titled “Data-Driven Modelling and Control of Biogas Production in a Simple Chemostat with Monod Kinetics” at the PSE Research Day (Sept 6).

  • 23 Nov 2022: Completed the Online Professional English Network’s (OPEN) 2022 English for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) MOOC developed by the University of Pennsylvania and adapted by FHI 360.

Hobbies

  • Reading: I like to read research articles and books mainly regarding new ML tools and science-related works.
  • Playing and Watching Football: Used to play football and I watch mostly games from different leagues and competitions. My favorite teams are Real Madrid from Spain and Arsenal in England.
  • Traveling: I've had the chance to live in 4 different countries and I like to travel both for work and visiting places. I've lived in Algeria, Italy, Turkey, and now I am in the UK.
  • Tech Enthusiast: I am fascinated with new technologies in different fields and aspects. I like and am familiar with all sorts of IT and electronic devices.
  • Video Games: I am a big fan of video games with all consoles. I've had the chance to play most of the triple-A games on PC or in handhelds like Nintendo Switch and others.
  • DIY Projects and Electronics: Based on my background in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, I am still developing DIY projects and am familiar with most of the electronic chips, boards, and OS. I am also fascinated with 3D printing.
  • Board Games: I play chess and I am fascinated with techniques and the history of the game, mainly during the Cold War.
